William Ramsay | Pedagogic Co-ordinator at Global Music Campus

William Ramsay is the Artistic Director of the Global Music Academy. The South African born saxophonist and composer is the pedagogic co-ordinator with responsibility for the overall design of the South East and East African Global Music Campus program. He is also part of the team which designed the Harmony, Keyboard Harmony and Melodic Reading modules for the curriculum.

He is also part of the teaching team for the South Asian Pilot Campus. He is an active musician and has composed and arranged for film and musical theatre. He has taught at the Federated Music of Black Arts in South Africa, the California Institute of the Arts and the Hochschule für Music “Hanns Eisler” in Berlin where he developed the world music program. He holds a BA degree in Music from the California Institute of the Arts in LA.
